Attendance Updates/Comparisons

Attendance Chart October 2007

Daylight Savings Time Date!

Remember to set your clocks BACK one hour on November 3rd before you go to bed. Daylight Savings Time ends on November 4th.

Snow Policy!

In the event that we have to cancel a Sunday morning service due to snow/ice you can see our cancellation on Channel 3 WHSV.

Prayer Time at the Altar!

We are such a caring congregation that it has been somewhat difficult to have you unlearn some old caring skills and learn some new ones. Case in point, as I said a few Sundays ago, we are in the midst of doing something a little different during our prayer times on Sunday mornings. When God speaks to us and we sense a leading to go forward and pray at the altar rail on Sunday mornings, we typically have one of two desires going on:

That being the case, we are designating the altar rail to the far right as the altar rail for people to go to who want to have someone pray with them. Likewise, the left and middle rails are for those who want to pray alone.

Let's try to keep this in mind and use the altar freely.

Prayer Phone Tree!

Our phone tree is really easy at FCC and you don't have to make any calls at all. We have an automated Phone Tree service that Pastor Keith calls in on. The message is recorded and the message is then automatically sent out to all of the individuals from our congregation who have asked to be on the phone tree. It's that simple. This phone tree will only call people from 8:00 am to 9:00 p.m. If you would like to be on the phone tree, please either:

Emergency 24 Hour Phone Tree!

A couple of times since we started using the Phone Tree, we have had emergencies during the middle of the night, but the automated Phone Tree was programmed to "sleep" between the hours of 9:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Beginning immediately however, we are creating a 24 hour Phone Tree Team who will want to be called with emergencies "no matter what time it is". If you would like to be put on this list, even if you are on the present Phone Tree, please use any of the above means to contact us with that information. Thanks!

Thank You Letter

Dear Faith Community,
Thank you so much for your support through your finances and your prayers! I realize the sacrifices you made by supporting my trip to Uganda. Your compassion and willingness to serve and trust the Lord is encouraging and humbling! I am excitedly awaiting the things the Lord will teach me and can't wait to share with you my experience when I return. Once again, thank you!
God bless and much love, Kara

Countdown to Worship Service!

We have started a new thing on Sunday mornings with a 5 minute countdown just prior to the worship service. It not only serves the purpose of letting people know when we are about to begin, but it also assists us in turning our hearts toward God by reflecting on the various names of God. Let's try to be there for the countdown!

Welcoming Guests to FCC!

It is absolutely essential that we maintain our small church flavor by making a point to always welcome our new guests. Almost every Sunday, we have new families visiting with us, and it is so important that we make a great first impression. I have heard it said that people probably make a decision as to whether or not they are going to come back within the first 10 minutes. That's right ----- 10 minutes!

Therefore we have to make that 10 minutes a time to make positive first impressions.

It's really not as hard as you might think. Give it a chance and our church will always be warm and inviting place for people to call home. Be a part of that first 10 minutes!!!!!
